I always look forward to Woodkirk Academy productions and the never ending stream of talent they always seem to be able to produce every year Chicago being no exception. Confident performance is taken for granted by all Woodkirk Academy performers and this production contained many outstanding ones. Emily Robinson (Roxie Hart) and Molly Robinson (Velma Kelly) were both outstanding in their respective roles both singing dancing and acting with great maturity and style two lovely performances. Tiernan Field (Billy Flynn) the scheming lawyer gave a very strong performance singing and acting with complete assurance and conviction. Two other eye catching portrayals came from CaitlinThornton (Matron 'Mamma Morton') and Archie Rhodes (Amos Hart) they both excelled in their main numbers 'When You're Good To Mama' and 'Mister Cellophane'. All the other principal cast members gave fine performances and did much to enhance this production. The choreography was of a very high standard as were the costumes and very spectacular lighting effects. The orchestra was in fine form giving a most lively but tuneful accompanyment.
