~~EXMOUTH PLAYERS                                                                     BLACKMORE THEATRE
THE DANGERS OF TOBACCO                                                       31ST OCTOBER
This was a monologue that was what it states on the tin as it were about the dangers of smoking very well performed. Ivan Ivanovich Nyukhin was giving the lecture, not an easything to do when you are completely on your own on stage, the timing and clarity of diction and meaning was done with great skill and indeed a very funny sketch.

THE BEAR
A middle aged landowner meets his match in the widow Yelena, it was a very good sketch with lots of laughs and great portrayals by Grigory Stepanovich Smirnov and Yelena Ivanovna Popova the light and shade of both characters in there moods it  was truly   magnificent.

THE PROPOSAL
This was again a wonderful sketch that really gave   the actors a good chance to portray the great skills they have Natalyia Stepanovna was wonderful and as an actress never ceases to do a great job as   Stepan Stepanovich Choobukov who had a great accent and stoop that gave the character some real depth and comedy   also Ivan Vassilievich Lomov gave a solid performance.
The evening was a very enjoyable one and it was refreshing to see something really different  with these short stories the evening got funnier and funnier it was great comedy beautifully timed and executed so Thankyou to the director Barbara Pentecost on a job well done .
