EBOS delivered a lively, characterful and wonderfully family-friendly staging of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – The Musical, overflowing with enthusiasm, colourful performances and moments of real theatrical charm. From the opening number, Food, right through to the finale, the production brimmed with heart, humour and an obvious affection for the source material. The Bavarian number in particular was executed with wit, precision and comic flair – one of several moments in which the audience were treated to a thoroughly polished and unified ensemble.
This was, quite simply, an outstanding production, and the creative team should feel immensely proud of what they achieved.
