Carmen the Musical

Maidenhead Operatic Society brought their bold and stylish musical adaptation of Carmen to Norden Farm, with book and lyrics by David Badger and arrangement by Bobbie Field. This reimagined version transforms Bizet’s iconic opera into a pacey, contemporary musical theatre piece – and MOS rose to the challenge with flair, confidence and commitment. With strong direction, an energised cast and a clearly unified creative vision, this was a modern Carmen that honoured the original’s passion while giving it fresh musical theatre life.
