A revue of Gershwin songs researched and constructed by the director, this production was a chronological look at the famous composer’s life and music with real letters from family, friends and admirers interspersed with his songs. An evening full of good singing and dancing, this production had a nice, warm intimate feeling but still with good production standards. The action moved well and the items flowed into each other. The band was very good, interpreting the music well. Good choreography, including some tap-dancing, enhanced the performances as did the red, white and blue costumes throughout. Simply but effectively staged and making the most of a small performance space, this was a good showcase for CADOS singing and dancing skills.
