I have always said it is a really enjoyable experience to watch a group of youngsters on stage having so much fun whilst at the same time doing a great job of entertaining their audience.

In this show the youngsters in question did a brilliant job of entertaining the entire audience in every respect of the show.

In the title role of Bugsy Malone William Wells was brilliant and the audience really took him to their hearts, his timing and delivery of his lines were perfect as was his singing and dancing abilities. Playing opposite William was Lydia Glasby as Blousy Brown, again Lydia was able to bring this part to life and I particularly enjoyed her singing of I’m feeling Fine.

I particularly enjoyed Oliver Brown’s portrayal of Fat Sam for which he had to wear a fat suit to look the part although I have to say I think even without the costume he would have still made this a perfect role, his dialogue with his fellow actors, his accent and his comic timing was superb.

I also enjoyed Freya Stone’s as Tallulah, her song with the girls, My Name is Tallulah was excellent, Jack Battersby as Dandy Dan looked every bit the part  and again was able to do it justice in every sense of the word, others who played their parts to the full were Alex Braithwaite as Knuckles, Bailey Whitfield as Casey Jo, Casey Healey as Leroy Smith who was joined by the company to deliver a great So You Wanna Be  a Boxer and Heidi-Jo Wood as Fizzy who entertained the audience with her performance of Tomorrow.

Big congratulations to everyone involved in this great show.
