BUGSY MALONE

Bugsy Malone is a very popular choice for Junior Musical Societies to perform and certainly Halifax Light Opera Juniors enjoyed the whole experience greatly. The young people on stage played with great enthusiasm enjoying all the super fun that this show contains. Bugsy Malone (Henry Foulkes) gave a most confident portrayal in the leading role but did on occasions lose a little diction with his American accent. He was well supported by Blousey (Abigayle Rogers) she sang and acted with total conviction and was a joy to watch. Tallulah (Tiegan Hill) was another star performer who sang, danced and acted with great maturityfor her age. Fat Sam (Sam Rothery) the Gang Leader threatened by the other Gang Leader  Dandy Dan (Oliver Chapman) both performed well. Fizzy (Ben Hinchliffe) with only a very small role stole the show and the hearts of the audience with some lovely singing and acting - what a prospect he must be. The show concluded with a wonderful splurge gun fight. Excellent costumes and a fine orchestra all added up to a very fine well produced production.
