This show was an ideal vehicle in which the various talents of these young people could be shown off to their best. Full of well loved, toe tapping 1970s disco favourites, the story loosely woven around their dreams of pop stardom, problems of young love and late teenage years. The music, as always with this MD, bounced along with complete co-ordination and balance between band and stage. The simple and effective set, with good lighting effects, easily and swiftly converted to the various necessary scenes and certainly a lot of old wardrobes and lofts had been raided for authentic looking costumes, furniture and props.   I especially liked the way that, when the action took place in the Boogie Nights Disco there were quite a few of the ‘usual’ members there busy miming their dancing and, as time progressed, some of the clientel changed, as did their positions on stage. The strong singing throughout this show was supported by some equally strong and very sensitive acting particularly from Chris Hyland (Dean), Chris Avery (Roddy), Laura Mills-Whitaker (Debs), Laura Kay (Lorraine) and Jonnie Taylor (Eamon). Eventually the jiggling feet of the appreciative audience were satisfied when invited to take part and ‘boogie on down’ with the cast to the final number. A very enjoyable evening - Thank you.
