It requires considerable directorial ingenuity, together with acting of the highest order, to minimise the less than satisfactory aspects of Bluebird’s construction (highlighted by critical responses to previous productions in this country and internationally). In many ways this was certainly achieved in this production by Bob Hope Theatre which featured some excellent individual performances.
