If I could describe this panto in one word it would be EXUBERANT!  It was great fun and went along at a very good pace.  The Band gave great support to the Company and played the chosen music in great style.  The set design was lovely, particularly the woodland scene thanks to Helen Ng and her helpers.  The cast were all enjoying themselves with Kate Horscraft as a lovely Belle and the very regal Shana Edwards as Prince Danton, both using their voices to great effect.  The Good Fairy Flora was played by Jenny Humphries who took the role over at 2 weeks notice due to the indisposition of Helena Ng and Sue James was Belladonna, the Wicked Fairy who looked the part and frightened all with her spells and wickedness.  Sarah Eaton and Angie Wright played Belle's sisters, Ermengarde and Esmeralda - great performances and Steve Llewelyn played Dame (Madame Fifi) with his ususal panache.  David Foster was the Beast, turning from anger to great tenderness as the story went on.  I haven't got room to name all the cast but rest assured they all added to the success of this production.  The alternative song lyrics written by Shar Turnbull were great fun and as usual a very nice programme was provided.  Congratulations to all, whether on stage or off, for providing another rousing panto to lighten up the darkness of winter.
