It was lovely to see so many families gathered to enjoy ‘And We’ll Sing Once More’, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the outset. Three Towns Theatre Company always put great care into dressing their performance space, and once again the auditorium looked delightful, with thoughtful decorations and a café-style seating arrangement that added to the sense of occasion and community spirit. The production brought together a cast of all ages, which was particularly nice to see, reflecting the inclusive nature of the group.

The premise of Camp Crescendo, a summer camp under threat, with its members performing songs to help save it, provided a framework for what was, in essence, a musical showcase of well-loved numbers. It is always a joy to hear live music, and this added greatly to the atmosphere and supported the musical numbers beautifully. With many stand out performances across the cast, it wouldn’t be fair to single out individuals, as everyone contributed to the overall energy of the production. The enjoyment of performing was evident throughout, and the audience responded warmly to the variety of musical numbers on offer. It was also especially pleasing to see elements of inclusivity within the performance, such as the use of signing, which was clearly appreciated by audience members and demonstrated a thoughtful approach to accessibility. The choreography was well considered and suited to the cast, providing energy and variety across the numbers. As a constructive note, some routines were performed further towards the back of the stage, which I felt slightly reduced their impact. Bringing these forward, particularly for moments such as the tap number, would help enhance the experience for the audience.

Congratulations to everyone involved for their hard work in bringing this production to the stage and for continuing to provide inclusive and welcoming theatre for the local community.
