A couple of delightful Babes (Emily Rourke and Holly Smith) who had some good stage presence for such young actors with well projected and pleasant singing voices. Robin Hood (Amanda Don) and Maid Marian (Claire Parker) were well matched and worked well together. The Dame (David Waugh) carried most of the comedy which was much appreciated by the audience. The Sheriff of Nottingham (Nick Parker) and his side kick Lady Demonica (Zoe Taylor) gave the children in the audience many opportunities to boo & hiss (as they should). Wally Wannabee (Joe Smith), the harrassed castle servant, Ruff & Tuff the incompetant baddies (Emma Smith and Dean Patrick) kept the party going with the Merry Men (Yamine Stevenson, Katie Evans and Edward King) providing more comic relief. Sister Immaculta (Carolyyn Dickinson who had taken over the role only 2 hours before curtain up gave a very good performance). The chorus of villagers and children added to the enjoyment. Fairy Willow (Laura Collins) used her magic to bring a happy ending. The sets in such a small place were both amazing and very artistic and were efficiently handled by the stage crew. The costumes and properties were also excellent with good sound effects and lighting. The whole was a most enjoyable event with the children on the stage giving their all and thoroughly enjoying the experience with the result that we, the audience thoughly enjoyed it too. .
