This was a new show for me, which is always a good start. I think most people know the story and I did wonder how this would work out knowing the large number of cast parts and scenery changes, but I need not have worried.
This show gives everyone a chance to take part with many smaller speaking and singing roles, it is always nice to see the younger members given a chance to show their talents, and this show did that.
Jon Stow as Phleas Fogg gave us the typical “Stiff upper lip” British gent and both he and Passepartout, played by Natasha Kus gave very good interpretation and performances with both singing and movement.
Maxine Stow as Aouda, a lovely singing voice and Nick Taylor, as Inspector Fix, had good comedy timing and stage presence.
Everyone gave their all and it showed by the joy on their faces.
The pace was swift and the scene changes efficient, the choreography was good and there seemed to be more emphasis on chorus harmonies than I have noticed before.
Thank you for you kind invitation. I look forward to seeing you soon.
