Comedy-thriller is probably the most difficult genre to write for successfully. Although the storyline concerns several murders, with bodies appearing and disappearing, the comedy element is uppermost. From the moment that Janet's head drops into her dish of cornflakes things should not be taken at face value! Gary Wilkinson (Max), Heather Boulby ( Janet his wife) and Amanda Gill (Suzy his girlfriend) made an effective team, as Suzy frantically changed hair colour and Max concocted new schemes to get rid of his wife. Jonathan Sharp as the aspiring murder novelist and neighbour Edgar, was suitably enthusiastic, turning up at all the wrong times. Karen Kirkup played the scheming Mary Ticklewell with aplomb while David Smith gave an outstanding performance as her downtrodden husband George.

On their tiny stage the cast kept excellent pace so vital to this style of theatre. Well done everyone.
