A very strong talent is needed for the title role of Annie and this was evident in Mia Hope Edwards singing and characterisation, living the part from start to finish she was fantastic.

The orphans of course sang and acted their hearts out with enthusiasm as youngsters do! Each one contributing individually with their excellent stage presence and in aiding Annie in her many escapades and they loved Miss Hannigan, Julie Griffiths, not always relaxed in  this challenging difficult role, rushed at times, her songs Little Girls and Easy Street with Rooster and Lily went very well

Derek Williams was perfectly cast as Billionaire Oliver Warbucks his magnificent and well controlled voice filling the theatre and his role was just the right mix of kindness and concern for Annie so good to watch and they were a great match singing and dancing together. His Secretary Grace Farrell was played with well timed authority by the elegant Sarah Knight her spot on cue opening of all her beautifully sung numbers is to be praised, not easy, she certainly made it look so! Iwan Davies was a believable villain, Rooster Hannigan, Miss Hannigan’s coniving Brother with his Lily St Regis Tanya Walters, they acted very well together. Chris Davies was good as President Roosevelt and sang very well along with his Cabinet members an excellent scene

The chorus and cameos in this musical were outstanding Drake, Damon Miles stood out, every entrance and exit was precision Performances were impressive throughout with very well rehearsed choreography

Colstars had a first class production here, which sold out all week, well deserved and they certainly worked hard to achieve this high standard. Congratulations to all and the dedicated production team  Brilliant!
