My first visit to see this society, and what a pleasure it was. we were welcomed royally by Mimi and escorted to our seats.
I dont get the chance to see many plays so this was a treat in more ways than one. The set and staging were first class and the costumes were authentic to the period.
From the first moment when the individual characters read their invitations to the final discovery of "who dunnit" we were entertained, the pace kept up throughout.
All of the principles were well suited to the role and all played their parts very well, it would difficult to single people out, but I feel I must mention Tracey Coleman as Vera Claythorne, and Bob Tucker as Philip Lombard, these two gave us the calm Lombard and the rising hysteria of Vera very convincingly, and the air of resignation of General Mackenzie (Ian Jones) was lovely.
The play kept up the suspense but we did not lose the humour that this play has when done well, as this was done very well.
It was a pleasure to see you all and I hope to see you again.
