I NEVER SAW ANOTHER BUTTERFLY
A very bold and at times harrowing story performed by the teenage section to a high standard. This production had some very good pieces of theatre created by the cast. 3 very strong performances given by Catrin Rees [Raja], Paige McNeish [Elena] and Dafydd Evans [Honza] fully supported by the ensemble.
I would urge you to continue to be bold in your choices and help to push boundaries in non professional theatre.
THE WITCH WHO NICKED HAPPINESS
This production captured the essence of the show with good principal performances and a junior section that were well drilled and filled the stage with life and colour.
The vitality and commitment of the full cast was obvious and came over to the audience very strongly. The bright and colourful set complemented the action perfectly and lighting was used to good effect. Costumes added to the overall effect.
THE ATTIC
Lowri Wyn Paynter was fortunate to have some very talented actors at her disposal within the adult section. Through calculated lighting and a clever set design, time was transformed between present and past.
Strong performances were given by Heidi Marie James [Demi], Lee Bentley [Callum], William Walters [Mr], Edwina Davies [Mrs] and Heather Rees [Helen] each giving credible performances.
The boxes within the attic were to clean and new, I would also have liked to have seen some cob-webs around the stage giving the image a much dis-used feel. As you move forward with this production perhaps you could take these points on board.
