Puss in Boots
Edge Hill Players, Sacred Heart Church Hall
A superb representation of the Café René, as seen years ago on television, and a towering interpretation of the title character, with every nuance brilliantly expressed, helped to make this RDS production one of their best ever. And with important characters showing the subtlety (or lack of subtlety) each demanded and fine work from other stalwarts adding local colour in cameos and walk-ons, we were helpless with laughter even before the stage flooded with Hitler imitators for the spectacular finale.
