‘Now listen very carefully as I will say this only once’ @2K have arrived! It always helps when you have a highly talented and dedicated team and the passion to make it work, in this case they also had a leading man who you believed totally to be Rene Artois. As chaos ensued he stayed calm and collected, it was very hard to believe he was acting. His supportive wife gave us reason to stuff bread in our ears and his flirtatious waitresses titillated the gentleman of the audience with thoughts of wet celery and flying helmets. The Germans (and a lone Italian Captain) equally dominated with saucy underwear and sausage jokes. The staging of this piece was innovative and thoughtfully executed; the French man on his bike with the radio set opening the piece was just perfect. Sound and lighting were sympathetically used and costumes and wigs were totally in keeping with the piece….onward @2 K what tasty morsel will you tempt up with next?
