Barking Music and Drama returned to the Kenneth More Theatre with All Shook Up which celebrates the hits of Elvis Presley entwined around a plot loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. This show enables a big cast to be involved and plenty of great numbers, scenes and routines for everyone. This rock n roll musical had the audience involved from the start and by the end they were literally dancing in the aisles.

A good cast were in fine voice and numbers such as Jail House Rock, Can’t Help Falling in Love and a tap-dancing Blue Suede Shoes gave the audience what they wanted. The dancing throughout was energetic and well delivered with some very talented chorus members. The leads were excellent and got the tone and style of this show just right. It never took itself too seriously.

It was great to see Barking MAD perform this show that they started rehearsing back in 2020. It was worth the wait and a fun show with entertainment stamped all over it.
