Ali Baba is a pantomime that I have not often been asked to cover before so it was a nice change. The show was well cast in all roles but I did find the story a little bit thin and hard to follow. Ali Baba (Holly Robson) gave a very confident performance and John Murphy (Fatima the Dame) was most convincing playing his first Dame role and was well supported by Mustafa (Tom Lambert) who was most impressive. All the other supporting cast members were confident and impressive. The sets were all of a good standard with the cave scene most outstanding. The Pantomime was well costumed and music well selected and played by the small band. The show was much enhanced by some very well performed choreography.
