Sparkle dazzle and energy! Wow, no doubt about it Abergavenny Pantomime Company’s half term pantomime brightens the dark winter in Wales. This family company love what they do best have fun together and entertain us so well
A fantastic pyrotechnic opening light show with a super energised chorus and we were off to the East and all the magic it brings
Narrator Joe Pugh was excellent at setting the scene, not easy warming up the audience so very well done Joe
A superb polished performance by Molly Brickley Clark as Aladdin, poised, perfect diction and golden voiced and with Chelsea Viveash as Princess Jasmine made an excellent duo their duets effortlessly blending The magic carpet was a spectacular effect riding high in the theatre from your innovative technical team
Ken Jones as Widow Twanky such a trouper with a cold, ah, he always is the perfect Dame we all love him, super voice, great audience rapport and heartfelt fun, none better. Stephen Clark as Wishy Washy gave us fantastic fun and slapstick comedy and coped so well with the surprise big crowd of tiny tots and youngsters for the sing a long making it one of the hits of the evening!!
Another different character for versatile performer Alex Williams, who made a brilliant Abanazer just the right blend of evil with Little Abanazer Zac Williams. The Genie and Slave of the Ring were also impressive Zach Clee and Emma Davies
Bouncing off one another so expertly as only they can, Peter Holder and Andrea Marfell as Emperor Ah Chu and Empress Ah Chu Tu.
One talented young man who gives us a new character every year is Geraint Webb absolutely hilarious as Hard Lee
Their new face lifted, sparkling eyes cow Dun Poo, Hugh Marfell & Jon Newsam was very well received well, she is a star looks amazing and took all the horse jokes very well ! Four fun loving girls brought super comedy Chop Suey Megan Trinder, Chow Mein Louise Morgan Do Pe, Nia Gandhi and Wee Wee, Eleanor Newsam
Little Anni Rees as always gave the star factor to the High Executioner
Fabulous dance routines, Bhangra Dancers, Spider Dance, I Like The Way You Moooo and great music made us all want to dance in the aisles, Act One script slowed the pace down so this made up for it and how!!
Talented, now retiring Wardrobe Mistress Linda Butcher coordinated all the fabulous costumes, Footlights of Tonyrefail
