Aladdin

The excitement in the Beaufort Theatre was tangible as at last this talented company had their opening night, after four attempts, as their dates for opening had been cancelled due to Covid so they were disappointed four times.A very stressful time for everyone especially Director Rachel Williams.Yet with this dedicated family of performers the show must go on, and it has to their credit.What an achievement!

We were greeted by a jewelled set ( Alex McIntosh and Matt Tovey) which was a great sight on entering the theatre.This was a fast moving  well rehearsed production with skillfully crafted dance routines. The whole cast gave energised performances and brought dynamic dancing to the stage. Strong performances were given by a confident Olivia Bird as Aladdin, a delightful Ruby Phillips as Jasmine and a beautifully danced Genie from Daisy-May Wilkes completed by a fabulous cast of enthusiastic performers whose dancing was precision. Well done, this was an excellent production and a credit to Director Rachel Williams,Tammy Jones and Toppers.
