Aladdin a Pantomime, written by James Barry, has all the traditional family fun. Jenny Green as Director has a great cast to bring the story to life. The set is good and effective, lighting and sound are just right. The costumes are colourful. We go from Old Peking to Egypt and the story moves along well and comes across to the audience.
Evil Abanazer played by Mike Watson is great in the role of the baddie, he loved getting everyone evolved with the booing and hissing. Hannah Marks tries to keep the peace as the Slave of the Ring. I really liked John Gardner as hippy type Genie of the Lamp.
Richard Barnett takes the role of Widow Twanky, great costumes are a must for the dame and there were lots of wonderful colours which was great to see, alone with all the jokes, keeping up the pace along with Jack Barnett as Wishee Washee, they worked well together.
Jo Clarke plays the hero Aladdin, along with Donna West as the lovely Princess Jasmine, both played their parts with confidence. I also liked the duet.
Vic Milne plays the hopeless Peking Policeman Flung Dung for added comedy, and the straight faced Egyptian Dancers are very funny played by Neville Green & Di Buck.
Well done everyone for another great Pantomime.
