As the panto season continues what more could you want on a January evening than a happy, fun filled Pantomime with all the traditional ingredients needed to ensure a most enjoyable evening for young and old.

It opened as usual with a stage full of youngsters singing and dancing in their Chinese costumes, there were two teams of dancers, the older girls that performed each performance and two teams of younger children, one team called "Chopsticks" and the other one called "Noodles", I don't know which team I saw but I am sure they would both be competant.

There were delightful performances from the expirenced players all with good strong singing voices, Aladdin (Natalie Jackson) and Princess Pekoe (Haledy Thompson) were perfectly matched and complimented each other.  Once again the Dame Widow Twankee (James Creegan) wowed his audience especially with his Laundry scene when cheekie chappie, Wishee Washee (Chris Nuttall) fell in the washing machine and shrank, he was then put through the wringer and and became exttremely long and thin!  Afterwards he was popped into the dryer and emerged as Wishee Washee once again.

Nasty Ebanazer (Jeremy Handley) earned his Boo's and the bumbling policemen Ping and Pong kept the audience happy.  The enthusiastic Genie of the Lamp was very infectious and added charm to the production. All the other characters worked very hard and gave good support to the principals.

I really enjoyed the alternative Twelve Days of Christmas, along with Eight Toilet Rolls, Three Wellies and a Bra that did not fit the Dame.

The Choreography was of a good standard and well thought out, colourful scenery and good lighting along with glittery and sparkly costumes all helped to make a good evening.  "Oh Yes It Did".
