Aida the Musical

Aida, a world famous opera and now a challenging musical, lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Ben Elton it has an astounding score and timeless appeal. EVODS take on this type of virtually unknown book and master it to their credit.
The two central leads Rebecca Bull as Aida and Lewis Hodson as Radames worked superbly together. Through out the years I have seen the dedication these two young people give to their craft, honing their skills and both are outstanding
Lewis Hodson‘s control of his powerful and exceptional voice as he was perfectly cast as the Warrior King Radames with the special Rebecca Bull as Aida giving a superb performance. Rebecca directed and choreographed this production with loyal dedication as she is soon to have a tiny Aida or Radames of her own!
Ashleigh O Callaghan, beautiful as the Princess Amneris, Jason Price, a sincere, rock solid performance as Mareb, Michael Fleming as Zoser and Christopher Richards as Pharoah all gave fine performances.
Incorporating the young male Free Runners and their athletic air jumps was inspired, tumbling action and energy on every appearance, they were amazing!! EVODS also have an outstanding ensemble.
Enhanced by Costumier ACE, Egypt recreated in their set by Graham Wilkins outstanding lighting design by the one and only Mike Williams. Every aspect of this production was flawless The entombed lovers and their reincarnation, the poignant finale.
