Setting the scene perfectly a tired apartment, extremely well dressed provided the background for this Arthur Miller classic of immigrant culture in New York around the 1950’s. Accents are so important, and we were spoiled (as were PAODs by their newly acquired member), an all American cousin from Rhode Island New York and his excellent characterisation and delivery of Eddie played by Alex Lehan Nagle.  Beatrice Carbone (Tiffany Barker) was a fine foil equal in stature. This pairing gave this piece pace and interest from the outset, well done!
Adding the romantic and fateful flavour to the play was their niece Catherine (C?t Haf), and Rodolpho (Calvin Williams), who alongside Marco (Mike Freeman), gave the director an extremely strong cast to deliver this play. Adopting stage right and “The View” was director Tim Tyson, or was it Arthur Miller in disguise as Alfieri remarkable likeness, well delivered.
A small stage was not made smaller setting Alfieri’s office permanently stage right, clever lighting gave clear and clean areas of demarcation. There was however a tendency for the cast to play the majority of the scenes stage left and this did prevent full use of the available space. That being said, this was a wonderful production which certainly hit the right note; great set, great cast and a great night.
Looking forward to the Witches Of Eastwick, “I love that little Town”, thanks for the invite, now about those flying witches ………?
