As this is the first time that I have ever had to do a review of a local society’s production, I was on tenterhooks as to what I would see and have to review.
I needed to have no worries on that score, as I sat and watched the performance of a most enjoyable show which was filled with well sung solos and chorus work from a cast of thirteen.
As with most shows of this kind, the comedy always tends to stand out in one’s memory, and of course this show had plenty of it, with the two Tom Lehrer songs taking first place closely followed by “Baby It’s Cold Outside”.
The programme overall was an excellent mixture of contrasting songs with the further addition of very good choreography. I must also congratulate the MD who never put a foot wrong throughout the whole show.
Overall, an outstanding show and I congratulate the whole company on their performance.
