A Midsummer Night's Dream

This was an outstanding production and a true labour of love from Rickmansworth Players.  The re-telling of one of Shakespeare’s best loved plays was innovatively produced in the most beautiful gardens of a private house in the countryside and set in post-war Hertfordshire.  Accompanied by the RP Choir and a three-piece close harmony group singing songs of the era and the execution of this vision was exquisite from start to finish.  Although the journey from concept to execution must have been fraught at times, the audience was left with an evening which was utterly enchanting and thoroughly entertaining.  It was truly wonderful to see the Players draw together all arms of their society – drama, music and youth – in a magical and innovative re-telling of a classic play.
