This was a very entertaining and enjoyable concert. During the first half, under the direction of Anthea Turner, we were treated to gems from the Gilbert and Sullivan Savoy Operas and also a rather nice medley from Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals.  I think there were many in the audience who were quietly singing along throughout

With a change at the Helm for the second half, the music was something of a contrast with a selection from “Merrie England” & “Lilac Time” linked with solo numbers from the pen of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Bringing the concert to and end was a medley from” Joseph”, an excellent choral arrangement which has become a favourite of the singers, having heard them perform it several times it always sends the audience home singing.
