After last year's WW1 success with Journey's End, HADS tackled WW2 undeterred by scenes in a burning plane, a frozen table-tennis game and a "stairway to heaven" - brilliantly managed by their set-builders with video and still projections and fine lighting and sound. An immersive experience for the audience involving a huge cast of villagers in support of some very touching principal performances.
