What a night of entertainment at The Torch Theatre. Haverfordwest brought their latest production to the stage. From start to finish it was laughter all the way with this piece, a lively start from David Bowen who gave us a very convincing Prologus/Pseudolus, slave to Hero. His singing, timing and rapport with the audience were excellent. The house of Senex gave us Gary Crane as the bumbling Senex, with his wife Domina-always out for a good time- played by Meryl Sage. Full marks to Aaron Kendall as their love-lorn son Hero, just right for the role. The stunning Philia, innocently played by Louise Hales partnered him, both blending well together.Brilliant performance from Christopher Tilbury as Hysterium, the hysterical slave to Senex and Domina who was anything but "Calm" as he tried to convince us.Phil Hallet was perfectly cast as Erronius, capitalising on the role of the befuddled Roman.A first class performance by David Haynes as Lycus, the buyer and seller of Courtesans,Tintiabula, Vibrata, Harmonia and Gymnasia, played by Rose Bongyerire,  Beth Vines, Madeline Wears and Emma Chalmers-Jones. A demanding portrayal from experienced Roger Leese as Warrior Miles Gloriosus who put his mark on this role with his first entrance. The other minor roles and well-disciplined chorous supported the principals to give a memorable performance. The costumes all made in house were very colourful and added along with the scenery to make this production special.

The orchestra, under the baton of the Musical  Director blended in well with the performers.

The production team  who admitted that they had tremendous fun in putting this production together are to be congratulated in bringing this Sondhein musical to fruition.

Many thanks for the invitation, it was good to meet up with you all once again. I look forward with anticipation to your next production.
