A Christmas Carol

With forty characters played by six actors, afficionados will recognise the Frank Barlow style established in his four actor version of The 39 Steps. A successful production depends on pace, versatile actors, an imaginative set and creative direction. These were evident in abundance in this Erith Playhouse production. Anchored by an excellent Scrooge, the comic potential of the piece was achieved but also highlighting the more serious Dickensian message of the original novella.
