It always a pleasure to be able to see a musical, that is rarely performed. “Scrooge the Musical” has always been a favourite of mine so it was always going to be interesting to compare the two similar shows.
Word must have got out because there was a queue at the door for tickets, as I arrived at the venue, which is always a good sight to see
With an outstanding Crispin Goodall, as the leading character Ebenezer Scrooge, who was on stage for the majority of the performance, this little known musical version of the Charles Dickens story, proved to be very entertaining and very enjoyable? With wonderful costumes, a Set that was designed and built by the company, the production looked superb and worked well on the Barrington Stage.
All the major characters were excellent, supported by an enthusiastic chorus who certainly seemed to be really enjoying themselves in this show, which was the first of three performances that day.
It did send me home singing, but strangely it was “ Thank you very much” from “Scrooge the musical”
