A Century of Song

"Century of Song" included some forty songs from shows that had been written between 1920 and 2017. Many soloists performed in the show -five men and fourteen ladies. Some new members were showcased, suggesting that the company's recent recruitment drive had been successful. However the ratio remains light on the male recruits but hopefully their next show being "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" will attract some new men.  "A Century of Song" was well compered and it was quite interesting to see how the style of music has changed over this period.  Many of the more recent showstoppers are not the 'sing-along' songs of years but are difficult solo (or small group) numbers.
