The 2014 Christmas concert was billed as a “Glorious Night of Music” and that is certainly what it proved to be. After a couple of carols to start of the evening the rest of the first half was taken up by a performance of a Christmas Musical “That Glorious Night “by John W Peterson. Which although I never heard of it, I found it to be very enjoyable. My one criticism been that the narrator should have been more visible to the audience. The second half followed the usual format of Festive songs by the full choir and soloists interspersed with audience participation singing well known favourite Carols all liked together in Compare Baird Oldreys’ unique style
It was nice to see retired Musical Director Sue Oldrey singing with the choir on the front row. A very enjoyable evening to start off the festive season.
