A course to introduce you to the fundamentals of acting for camera. This is an ideal approach for students who would like to build an understanding of screen acting. The course is here to bust some common myths on screen acting and to help you learn not just about working on screen but also what you discover about yourself as an actor when watching your work back.
During the week you will:
-
Work on storytelling and observation as a gateway to becoming comfortable in front of the camera
-
Learn techniques and skills to build a confident relationship with being on camera
-
Discover the difference between Stage and Screen Acting and how to adjust your performance for working with a lens
-
Learning in a playful and experimental environment, the importance of thought, listening and reacting on screen, with practical exercises to deepen understanding.
-
Rehearse and record a short piece of work to take away with you at the end of the course
This course is for students who want to stretch their experience and understanding of the craft of acting into another format, under the direction of experienced and empowering tutors.
