A frantic groom-to-be, Fadinard, finds himself entangled in a hilarious chase across Paris after his soon-to-be mother-in-law's dog devours a vital Italian straw hat belonging to a married woman and her angry military lover. Desperate to replace the hat before his wedding, Fadinard's chaotic quest leads him through a series of mistaken identities, near-misses with his demanding wedding party, and escalating misunderstandings with various eccentric characters. With his wedding hanging by a thread, Fadinard must somehow procure an identical hat and appease everyone involved, all while maintaining his sanity in this whirlwind of comedic chaos.
