“The Cat and the Canary” is a comedic horror story which follows a group of potential heirs who gather in a haunted mansion for the reading of the will of their deceased uncle, only to discover upon arrival that an escaped homicidal manical killer is at large!
This new version, by David Muncaster, of John Willard’s 1922 classic murder mystery, imagines the original play being performed as a live radio broadcast, the sound effects being created on-stage in view of the audience. The twist is that the company doing the performance have a few problems with cast members not turning up, so have to improvise as best they can. However, this does not take away from the original story which will have you intrigued from start to finish!
