She never made the big time, and a lonely retirement looms for club singer Edie Smith (Jeannette DuPont) as she prepares to give her farewell performance, headlining Scarborough’s annual Seaside Sparkle at a venue they’re about to demolish. Grieving widower Les Manning (John Brooks) attends the show and braces himself to charm the woman he’s admired for so long. Is it too late, with a little help from Frank Sinatra, to take a chance, just one more time?
