SILK – A Story Buried in War, Memory… and Truth

What really happened the night a German bomber was downed on the 10th of May 1941, near Henley in Arden?

SILK is a powerful new play drawn from local memory and whispered history — a tapestry of voices from the women who were there or say they were. Through humour, contradiction, and quiet revelation, their stories begin to unravel a truth long buried beneath wartime fear, silence and intrigue.

Inspired by real events — including the crash near Fulford Hall in 1941 — SILK explores what happens when enemy lines blur, and humanity refuses to follow orders.
