A dark comedy following the fortunes of two thieves attempting to rob the bank next to the funeral parlour.

Hiding the money in the coffin of Hal’s late mother, Hal and Dennis find themselves in increasingly bizarre situations. Aided by Nurse McMahon and to the despair of Hal’s father, they must keep the police off their tail while they work on their getaway.

Joe Orton’s hectic farce examines class perceptions, behaviour,  family attitudes, and a corrupt authority in mid 20th-Century Britain.
