Goodnight Mister Tom

Set during the dark and dangerous build up to the Second World War, Goodnight Mister Tom is the story of a young boy named Willie Beech, who is evacuated from London to the idyllic English countryside. He finds a home and builds a remarkable and moving friendship with the elderly reclusive widower, Tom Oakley.

Initially a sad and deprived child, Willie begins to flourish under Tom’s care, and they form a powerful bond. Willie’s new life is shattered however, when he is devastatingly summoned back to London by his abusive mother. This prompts Tom to embark on a journey to find him and reveals a terrible secret.
