Bardathon

Jane MacIntyre, Herald Players Chair, is aiming to raise at least £650 to help fund The Herald Players, a registered charity promoting general education and public appreciation of the arts through drama. We have been performing in the community for more than 60 years - providing fulfilling creative experiences for a wide range of people. Like all community activities we are in need of funds to help continue our work. Jane says 'I want to give something back for everything the group has given me, so on 12 September I shall be doing a 'Bardathon' an 8-hour (with short breaks) reading of several of Shakespeare's plays in Guildford High Street - in particular selecting those on which I worked with my very dear late friend Keith McDonald, whom I miss so much. How fortunate I was to play Malvolio (pictured) under his direction in his all -female 'Twelfth Night' production. It would be great to see friendly faces on the day, meanwhile all donations gratefull received on the Just Giving Page'.
