Developing the skills and the confidence to perform in the spotlight. Classes are held weekly Fridays & Saturdays for those aged 4 to 18yrs. Spotlight Theatre Company rehearsals are held weekly for our annual play and musical.
Spotlight Theatre is here to provide you with performance experience in drama, dance, singing, physical & technical theatre.
Have fun whilst exploring skills leading to performances in new & contemporary theatre. We have links with many local theatres and societies.
Spotlight Theatre wants to encourage and inspire you. We want you to have fun whilst learning more about performance arts.
During each session we spend time working on drama, dance and singing. Other skills like lighting & sound, mask-making, audition technique etc are learnt over each term, focusing on one at a time. Specialist tutors work with Spotlight to bring you the best experience we can in our Masterclasses. All our tutors have experience of performing and teaching. We visit other theatres and venues to see productions and to do workshops.
The work we do each week will develop and lead to regular performances and presentations. Spotlight Theatre produces several full scale productions a year in various local theatres and venues.
