Sale & Altrincham Musical Theatre

Sale and Altrincham Musical Theatre (also known as SAMT) are members of NODA Northwest Region (District 1) The Society was formed in 1936 as 'Sale Operatic and Dramatic Society', and the aim of the charity is to bring top-quality musical theatre at affordable prices to the local community. Today, they're still going strong and regularly perform in venues in the Sale and Altrincham areas. SAMT present a varied repertoire of musical theatre productions, mostly slanted towards modern musicals but not forgetting the more traditional operettas from time to time. In 2000, the society name changed to it's current incarnation to reflect the modernisation of the society. SAMT are long-standing participants in the annual "Showcase" charity concerts held at the Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays.
