Musical society established in 1891. A member of LADOS (then known as Lancaster Amateur Dramatic Society) suggested a group be set up to help local groups and this is how NODA came into being. In 1991 we celebrated our centenary with "The Merry Widow", followed by a celebration in Lancaster Town Hall. In 2011 we celebrated 120 years and had a smaller celebration in the venue where we now stage our shows - "The Grand Theatre, Lancaster".
