Grassington Players

We are a small (but perfectly formed) theatre group based in Grassington in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, now known to many as the filming location for Darrowby in Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small. Founded in 1923, we have just celebrated our centenary. The spiritual home of Calendar Girls, we produced the world amateur premiere of both Calendar Girls - the Play and Calendar Girls - The Musical, both to enthusiastic critical acclaim. New members (acting and support) always welcome.

We normally aim to put on 3-4 plays a year, ranging from classics (recently JB Priestley's "When We Are Married") to modern (recently "You Stupid Darkness" by Sam Steiner). We have a well-equipped main theatre seating 250 and a smaller studio seating 80.
