Fairlight Players

Established in 1950, the Fairlight Players are one of the oldest amateur dramatic groups in the area and, with the exception of a short interruption during the Covid pandemic, have an unbroken record of presenting two plays every year since 1951.

For a group based in a relatively small vilage, we have enviable facilities, including a decent stage and sound system, and computer-controlled DMX lighting. The group is renowned for the quality of its set-building, and regularly manage to stage productions which comon sense and reason would decree impossible in such a space.

Although able to call upon a number of experienced and able performers, we are always keen to welcome and encourage new members, both on stage and behind the scenes where, as anybody who has ever been involved in am-dram knows, a huge amount of work goes on to put a production on stage.
