Christmas in October, well if the high street shops can promote Christmas at this time of year, then why not LEOS, with this production of Irving Berlin`s perennial favourite.  Extra Berlin numbers have been added to the production which makes the show musically very good.

Bob (Martin Mould) and Phil (Jack Draper) along with Betty (Claire Collishaw) and Judy (Sian Scattergood) carry the weight in this production.  Martin and Phil played off each other, singing and moving  well.  I thought that their tempo slowed at times and more `zip` was needed.  Claire and Sian complimented each other ideally.  Their vocals clear and well delivered.  Sian`s dance pieces were very well performed.  Martha (Carrie-Anne Corner) was well cast as the housekeeper, and her numbers were first rate.  Ross Lowe was convincing as General Waverly,  and playing the part of Susan  his grand-daughter with great confidence, Megan Taylor  is certainly one with a promising  future.

With simple effective choreography, extremely well drilled, the chorus were admirable throughout.  The band was again excellent.
